An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to be a full-time Degree Project Management Apprentice within the Waste and Environmental Operations in Blackpool. Our client is a wholly owned company of Blackpool Council, providing Environmental Operations, which include Waste collection, Street cleaning, grounds, and Park maintenance. A full job specification will be sent to you on application.About the roleOur client is recruiting a Project Management Apprentice. There are various projects they will be planning as a company, to capture the impact of proposed changes legislated in the Resources and Waste Strategy for England. Defra is proposing a range of new legislation which will impact the waste sector and the successful candidate will work with Blackpool and The Fylde College on a four-year programme to obtain a Project Management Degree.About the degree apprenticeshipThe degree apprenticeship will develop the academic knowledge together with the higher practical and technical competences needed to increase productivity and achieve genuine competitive advantage.

About youTo be successful for the role of Project Management Apprentice you will have / be:
Level 3 qualifications on entry e.g. 3 GCE “A” Levels at Grades A to C, or a vocational equivalentMaths and English at Level 2 prior to starting the apprenticeshipGreat organisation and prioritisation skillsGood interpersonal and collaboration skillsSome understanding of data (how to seek it, sort it and analyse it)Comfortable with greater accountability and acting independentlyOpen to admitting mistakes and improving from themAdaptable and open to new opportunitiesBold thinker and willing to share ideasGood ICT skills
