The Opportunity

Belcan Workforce Solution are seeking an NPI Project Lead to join our Heavy Engineering client's team in Stafford. In this role, you will be at the forefront of innovation, leading the execution of small to medium-scale projects that shape the future of our products.

The Role

As an NPI Project Lead, your primary responsibilities include:

Project Leadership: You will lead high-performing, cross-functional teams through the project lifecycle. Your role involves evaluating project requests and establishing comprehensive project management plans. Additionally, as NPI Project Lead you will manage product delivery, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution. By applying program and project management methods, techniques, and tools, you'll enhance team effectiveness.

Cost Containment: Identifying cost-saving opportunities within projects is a crucial aspect of your role. You'll optimize resource allocation to achieve cost-effective outcomes.

Communication and Reporting: Regularly presenting weekly and monthly updates to management on project progress, risks, and concerns is essential. You'll also facilitate team meetings as needed to govern project activities.

Planning and Coordination: Creating and maintaining detailed project plans aligned with milestones is part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you'll coordinate efforts related to engineering changes, manufacturing dates, and material scheduling.

Stakeholder Engagement: Organizing key presentations, including stakeholder updates, will be a key aspect of your role.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing small to medium-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
