Project Finance Associate (Financial Modelling)

Based in London our innovative client seeks a Project Finance Associate (Financial Modelling) to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working, with 3 days in the office per week.

This job would suit someone with 3-5 year's experience in an investment professional environment with excellent attention to detail who can work well in a fast-paced environment and gain exposure to a broad range of company workstreams. They will play a central role is helping to develop the business as they undergo an intense growth period.

Our client is embarking on a fast-growing journey with exciting technology in the waste management sector which will enable us to recycle all types of plastic with the first commercial plant being constructed and further projects under development in Germany and the USA.

The successful individual will be fluent in English and at least one other major European Language (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish) is highly desired. They will have strong academics - 2:1 / equivalent or above. Strong excel and PowerPoint skills, with financial modelling experience in DCF/NPV valuation and knowledge of VBA.

Job responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and update HydroPRS project financial models & support in the maintenance of the Company enterprise model
• Provide oversight of the rest of Company's financial modelling workstreams, ensuring technical excellence, and giving appropriate guidance and feedback
• Provide techno-economic analysis support to engineering teams to optimise project returns
• Assist development of project opportunities alongside the Chief Commercial Officer and structure into strategically and financially attractive deals, focus on ensuring any opportunities are commercially and financially viable
• Assist in the sourcing and structuring of capital for the Company's HydroPRSTM projects from third-party financial investors (debt and equity), and be involved in the transaction execution
• Assist in the structuring, negotiation and execution of various project and transaction documents. Collaborate with engineering and business development teams to ensure bankability of projects, and involved in the drafting of the key project contracts
• Manage relationships with investment banks, investors, lenders and other financial advisors
• Provide support to wider Corporate Finance & Planning team to assist in fundraising and other Company wide projects
