Job Title – Project Engineer

Location – Nottingham NG2

Salary – £40,000 - £45,000

Duration – Permanent / Full Time

Hi Group Ltd is a specialist environmental consultancy supporting Further Education and SME clients to Design, Build, Finance, and Operate Low Carbon Transition Projects. Due to our expanding portfolio of projects, we are seeking a Project Engineer to collaborate with the commercial team and external supply chain to design projects for optimum energy efficiency and ensure installed systems meet required standards and achieve modelled energy outputs.  You'll be responsible for supporting the engineering process and external resources in conducting building energy analysis – desktop feasibility studies, site surveys and system design process.

While the position is primarily office based, it will require occasional travel to client sites throughout the UK.

What we need you to bring to the team:

Suitably qualified Engineer with a critical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems & energy saving / renewable technologies (heat pumps in particular).
Proven skills in energy modelling.
Ability to balance customer empathy with company objectives, achieved through an understanding of the factors which influence customer thinking.
Focus on high-quality service for customers and suppliers.
Proven record of achieving challenging goals and managing multi-site customer contacts.
Exceptional communication skills, understanding multiple perspectives.
Proficient in management information systems, evaluating performance, and taking necessary actions.
Competent in business correspondence and using Excel, Word, Outlook, AutoCAD, and Internet applications.
