Project Engineer

We are looking for
3 skilled Project Engineers
to join our RMT team. The Project Engineers will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Joiner-Shop Fitter
required to form part of a team of 3. To undertake project works within our stores. This can be minor layout changes to full store refurbishments. Working in conjunction with shop development/Maintenance and external contractors as required in various areas of the country. Must be prepared to work away as required. A lot of stores are within travelling distance, hotel accommodation will be provided where required.
Multi trade skill beneficial as you will be involved in joinery/fabric/plumbing/layout/IT/CCTV/flooring/Electrical as part of the team.
Relocating till areas, bookcases, headers, cornice, skirtings, bay moves, Georgian panels, window beds, wall cladding, till counters, doors, fabrication of storage cupboards, flooring. Mostly internal works.
Building Fabric engineer/Decorator
required to form part of a team of 3. To undertake project works within our stores. This can be minor layout changes to full store refurbishments. Working in conjunction with shop development/Maintenance and external contractors as required in various areas of the country. Must be prepared to work away as required. A lot of stores are within travelling distance, hotel accommodation will be provided where required.
Multi trade skill beneficial as you will be involved in joinery/fabric/plumbing/layout/IT/CCTV/flooring/Electrical as part of the team.
Patch plastering/Plasterboard/making good/redecoration of minor and larger areas of the stores. Full colour changes, some shopfront works as required. Window beds, back of house areas, toilets, staff rooms, shop floor, till areas.
Electrician
required to form part of a team of 3. To undertake project works within our stores. This can be minor layout changes to full store refurbishments. Working in conjunction with shop development/Maintenance and external contractors as required in various areas of the country. Must be prepared to work away as required. A lot of stores are within travelling distance, hotel accommodation will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities
· Ability to prioritise tasks and work with store teams, stores are often trading while works are carried out.
· Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, foresee issues, make recommendations.
· Good organisational skills
· Good communication skills
· Manage external contractors attending sites to complete works, work in conjunction with them and provide a point of contact for contractors and stores.
· Keen eye for detail and be happy to snag work upon completion, make further recommendations.
· Manage works from beginning to end, provide updates to key stakeholders.
· Attend site meetings as required
· Provide toolbox talks to keep team informed and engaged
· Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed, RAMS and insurances are received and certificates upon completion.
· Participate in Health & Safety Codes of safe working and other environmental issues to ensure total compliance with Waterstones Health, Safety and Environmental Policy. Report any omissions or risks that might compromise a safe working environment.
· Look for ways to continually enhance the operation of the site
· Supporting team members as required, including travel.
· Attend TEAMS project meetings with Management for weekly updates
Experience and Qualifications
· Multi skilled technician with a broad skill base
· Experience working on other Facilities Management contracts
· Previous retail experience preferred
· Reasonable level of IT knowledge, emails, excel, and word documents.
