Alexander Associates are working with a thriving Swiss company in the Space sector, recognised by their design and supply of satellite structures, thermal subsystems and mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE).
As a result of their success, they are expanding to the UK and opening an office in Oxfordshire. They are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to be a key part of growing their presence in the UK.
Project Engineer responsibilities:
Design complex systems and components (welded structures, mechanical parts, electromechanical machines) that fulfill needs and specifications.
Supervise assembly, testing and commissioning activities
Support for our sales team in the further development of our UK operations
Prepare technical offers for our future projects
Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
Coordinate activities on UK soil
Project Engineer Requirements:
Master degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
5-10 years of technical experience in an equivalent position
Good understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, welded structures, electro mechanics etc.
Proficient with 3D modelling software, CATIA V5 preferably
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Must be self-sufficient - able to work under minimal supervision, fast-thinking and pro-active.
