About Us: Our client takes pride in being a leading provider of Supportability Services to UK MoD and Industry, offering a range of engineering and training solutions. We're on the lookout for a talented Project Engineer to join our Maritime division.
Role Overview:
As a Project Engineer within our Maritime team, your responsibilities will be diverse and impactful. You will report to the Project Leader and play a key role in the creation, configuration control, and delivery of Support Datum Pack deliverables, aligned with business or customer requirements. You will also handle non-Support Datum Pack deliverables while ensuring a steadfast commitment to Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives, following the "right first time" philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the creation, configuration control, and delivery of Support Datum Pack deliverables.
Manage the collation and delivery of non-Support Datum Pack deliverables.
Vigilantly implement Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives.
Provide Datum Pack technical details to the Project Leader when necessary.
Act as a deputy for the Project Leader in their absence.
Requirements:
To effectively fulfill your role as Project Engineer, the following qualifications and competencies are required:
HNC/Certificate in an Engineering-related discipline or equivalent practical experience in a similar role within another organization.
In-depth knowledge of systems, subsystems, and equipment in a submarine/maritime environment.
Ability to facilitate technical data exchanges with internal and external suppliers and customers of the Datum Pack.
Proficiency in plans, schedules, process instructions, forms, user guides, and standards related to the Datum Pack.
A comprehensive understanding of complex data sources required in Datum Pack production.
Competence in Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
Experience in all facets of Datum Pack creation, maintenance, and delivery.
Ability to offer guidance and support to Project Engineers and Trainees working within the Datum Pack team.
Familiarity with Quality and Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Management System documentation.
Willingness to engage in Team Planning, Process Reviews, Risk Management, Quality & HS&E matters when necessary.
