We are authorised to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Rolls-Royce marine gas turbines used for marine propulsion.RWG recognises the importance and values a diverse workforce brings to the company and welcome applications from anyone who has the necessary skills to carry out this role.A vacancy has arisen within the Medium Engine Business for a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will be based at Dyce, Aberdeen and may also work under our hybrid model and will report to the Senior Project Engineer. The Project Engineer occupies a vital role in the day-to-day operation of our business as the primary interface between RWG and the customer, ensuring the requirements of RWG and our clients are satisfied both technically and commercially. This position is best suited to a dynamic and motivated person due to the varied and fast paced nature of the role.Job Description:Management of engines through the repair and overhaul cycle including workscope definition and alignment with customer requirements.Collaborating with internal business groups to fulfil workscope requirements.Interpretation and presentation of inspection, investigation and test results.Translation of contracts/orders into technical instructions.Reviewing and negotiating terms of business in line with company guidelines.Agreeing and setting schedules both internally and externally.Compilation of technical, financial and progress reports.Reviewing tender documents and preparing bid submissions.Maintaining frequent external communications with key customers in order to promote RWG’s services.Experience:Apprenticeship or Engineering qualification required with post-apprenticeship experience preferred.Technical knowledge of aero derivative gas turbines essential, with experience of MEB products advantageous.Computer literacy and experience in the use of applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook applications is essential.Good written and oral communication skills for internal and external interactions.Ability to translate technical requirements into operational instructions.Good working knowledge of commercial contracts is desirable.Ability to work flexibly and diligently as an individual and as part of Project Team.Applicants should also hold a current and valid Driving Licence and Passport, as domestic and overseas travel may be required.As well as having an enviable culture and great people, RWG offer opportunities to learn and develop.
