Project Director Building Services (Electrical)

We are a unique business whereby all our profits contribute directly to environmental and social initiatives for the future.Key ResponsibilitiesOverseeing and Preparing designs for the full range of building services.Overseeing and Site-supervising building services installations which have been undertaken by othersProviding relevant contributions to the ongoing development of health and safety plans and filesExecuting trouble shooting exercises associated with energy consumption and the provision of suitable internalconditions, surveys, reports, schedules and dilapidations and feasibility reportsPreparing planned maintenance specifications, planning of maintenance specifications, planning of maintenanceprocedures and contract management and reportingOverseeing energy strategies and Part L compliance with projectsManaging the building services team’s delivery of appointmentsMaintaining client relationships and securing of repeat businessActively developing business sufficient to meet the needs of the building services engineering teamFinancially manage and report on building services team appointments including invoicing, work in progress anddebtorsPreparing fee proposals and negotiation of appointments with client (for approval by director)Undertaking day to day management of all aspects of team HR issues (with support of HR function)Undertaking performance reviews for all team membersActively participating in the development of individual team members, including advancement/ successive planningYou should be responsible for circa £1m of turnover for your sector of the business or provide a specialist technicalexpertise to the companySkills & RequirementsYou will need to be a team player with the ability to work under pressure and have the ability to manage the Group unsupervised.You will be expected to manage and supervise members of staff including Associate Directors and assist and ensure their requirements with regard to training and development are met.You will be required to ensure that client satisfaction and the specific project aims, objectives and deadlines are metYou will take an active role in business development and general promotion of the CompanyOur CultureOver the course of our 230 year history at McBains, we have developed a clear identity and a shared set of values – values which allow us to work together tofind a better wayof doing things.Core to our continued success is our unwavering belief in Integrity, which encompasses our approach to corporate behaviour and environmental responsibility; Understanding, which enables us to deliver effectively for clients and each other and Flexibility in recognising that there are no set solutions and we can all contribute to the whole.More than just words, we live these values in everything we do - and we offer comprehensive benefits to match:
