Overview of the role:



Reporting directly to the Managing Director UK & Ireland, the overall purpose of the Project Development Manager is to develop grid scale battery storage solutions within the UK.





Key Responsibilities are but not limited to:




  • Analysis and evaluation of potential project locations regarding proximity to grid, suitability for industrial development, planning and ESG requirements

  • Application for grid connection for Battery Energy Storage projects

  • Collaboration with land development partners to acquire new land opportunities near to grid connections including relationship management for key partners

  • Preparation and supervision of necessary planning processes to enable the construction of the Battery projects.

  • Contact and relationship management with key stakeholders including local authorities, project partners and Distribution Network Operators.

  • Support in the acquisition of land and the finalisation of land lease options and contracts

  • Inspection and monitoring of project progress on site

  • Reporting of progress of project as they progress through the consenting funnel

  • Representation of Voltwise Power at fairs and events

  • Support for EPC package preparation as projects moves towards construction�





To be considered for this opportunity you will have:




  • A degree qualification or with relevant professional experience

  • Demonstrable experience in the development of grid connections, planning and land acquisition

  • Background knowledge of power generation, land acquisition, planning and project implementation

  • Demonstrated experience in working with Distribution Network Operators, local authorities, landowners and development partners

  • Proficient with MS-Office

  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • An entrepreneurial approach



Although not essential language skills would be advantageous.
