Verian’s
International Development Practice
delivers a range of evaluations, research studies, longitudinal research and ad hoc research projects, on topics such as public health, agriculture, employment, gender inclusion, financial inclusion and democracy and governance initiatives. Our team has delivered for clients across the globe, including UNICEF, WHO, CIFF, Mastercard Foundation, and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. We also work for academic clients, such as the University of Pennsylvania and University of Georgia, running various studies.
As a
Project Coordinator
in the team, you will manage delivery, from the project design and set up stage through to the final project deliverables. You will be responsible for helping to ensure that projects run efficiently to timetable and to budget, while always thinking about ways to improve how we work.
Your Missions
Support the research team with
initial set up of projects
Ensure
effective project delivery
by providing direction through capacity and resource management and identification and management of risks.
Effectively
manage relationships
with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure delivery to timescale and budget.
Manage and report progress against
milestones and the critical path
to ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality.
Contribute to
writing sections of reports
Monitor the
financial performance of projects
by tracking and managing costs and profitability
Being
a trusted point of contact for clients
by
advising and updating them on project planning and progress.
Occasionally support business development activities
and sections of proposals
Your Profile
Well-rounded mixed-method researcher with at least 3 years of experience in evaluation/Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning research
Master’s Degree in Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Economics, Quantitative or Statistics preferred
Prior experience with research design,
sampling, fieldwork, analysis, reporting, and presentation
Comfortable working with qualitative as well as quantitative data
Experience conducting literature reviews and secondary analysis
MS Office package working proficiency
(Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Prioritisation
skills and attention to detail,
able to multi-task
and get the job done
Open-mindedness
and cultural sensitivity in a multicultural environment
Excellent professional
communication skills
in English (verbal and written)
Any training or qualifications in project management would be an advantage
You will be an integral and essential part of the research team, and so an understanding of the research project lifecycle and experience of working in a research environment, particularly international development and/or evaluations will be helpful.
