You’re encouraged to have a growth mindset and are given the space to develop personally and professionally, building a flexible career that works for you.Role description:We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Controls & Planning Lead to join our Water team and provide support with on-going Capital Programmes for a major client in the Water Industry.You will be responsible for ensuring all work and outputs are executed to meet project or programme needs and objectives, whilst overseeing the Planning/Schedule Management and Controls functions on multiple and complex projects or a programme or portfolio of projects.Role accountabilities:Managing the delivery of planning/ project controls work for a project or for a number of projects, working with senior stakeholders and operationally managing a planning/ project controls teamResponsible for ensuring all work and outputs are executed to meet project or programme needs and objectives. Develop and grow the community capability and client account plansTechnical and leadership coaching, line, and task management for junior members of staffWorking within team budgets up to 1mOversight of the Planning/Schedule Management/Project Controls function on multiple and complex projects or a programme or portfolio of projectsImplementation of industry best practice and planning/schedule management/controls requirementsResponsible for the development and communication of relevant management informationLeads the reporting of progress, status and riskLeads the integration of planning, project management, commercial management, and project control functionsResponsible for the development and administration of contract planning requirementsDevelops and manages senior client and stakeholder relationships related to Planning/Schedule ManagementReviews supply chain performance and leads the implementation of supply chain planning/schedule procedures and requirementsReviews and implements the education and coaching requirements for the team, supply chain, and client in relation to planning/schedule requirements and best practiceTranslates project controls objectives into plans, costs and schedules, managing finances across the project life cycle in order to meet the profit and budgetary targets of the projectLeads the implementation of project controls, managing multi-disciplinary teams and working to mid-long-term timescales, to ensure delivery standards meet client expectationsMonitors and reviews the performance and behaviour of all team members, ensuring compliance with Arcadis’ risk and compliance policy and codes of conduct. Assures compliance with contracts in terms of project delivery parameters and scope of serviceUses own knowledge and experience of industry best practice to review and improve processes and policies, ensuring changes are in line with strategic business objectivesManages relationships with key internal stakeholders in order to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and collaboration across projects, to ensure client satisfactionActs as a technical expert within own project, providing subject matter advice to colleagues within the project, in order to support successful delivery in line with project objectivesQualifications & Experience:Previous management experience including experience of managing and leading teams on projects up to 50m, or as part of a leadership team on major projects or programmes >50mStrong subject matter expertise in own disciplineHas commercial acumen and the ability to manage relationships with and influence external stakeholdersExperience of leading and implementing complex business change solutionsExperience in managing business relationships at senior management levelBachelor’s degree or equivalentRelevant professional qualification or chartered statusWhy Become an Arcadian?Our work with clients has a direct impact on people’s lives and on the planet.
