Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Project Controls Manager to join their team on the HS2 project. As Project Controls Manager, you will lead the Project Control function and engage with all stakeholders including Client, Project team and Supply Chain to ensure delivery of project directives.The client is paying a competitive daily rate and is able to offer long term work over the next 12 months as a minimum. The RoleYou will be responsible for the following:Ensuring all weekly & monthly reports are prepared, validated and submitted to suit both internal and external reporting requirementsEnsure that project controls processes are consistently applied across the project and ensuring overall integration of performance informationManage governance to ensure robust cost and schedule performanceResponsible for undertaking Earned value AnalysisEstablish and agree Key Performance Indicators with the Contractor and how these will be monitoredSupport the development of requirements for specific resource-loaded schedulesWork closely with the Project Manager and commercial manager to maximise the potential of the projectIdentify and implement best practices, procedure and tools and systems for project controlsManage the selection and / or development of project controls toolsAdvising on recommended reactions to risks to facilitate effective decision makingResponsible for auditing Sub-Contractor Project Controls procedures as requiredThe CandidateDegree in a Civil Engineering or related qualification or NVQ equivalent levelAble to display previous experience in a similar role.Experience in the implementation of Earned Value Management based Project Control systems.Experience in working on NEC projectsPractical ability to utilise critical project management concepts (e.g. EVM, project planning, risk analysis, configuration management)Successful experience in Civil Engineering in project/commercial managementProven skills in planning software, principally P6, with the ability to work in a P6 Enterprise environmentThis could be an immediate start for the relevant candidate, so if of interest do apply with a copy of your CV asap.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
