Simply drop off your CV by clicking on the button to your right, and we'll get in contact if we have a suitable vacancy.Aberdeen – Hybrid working of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working from homeRenewables sector – Offshore WindA Project Controller with a strong focus within Cost is required to work on a permanent staff basis for a large Renewables company in the Aberdeen area.As the Project Controller, you will have the ability to work on a hybrid set up of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working from home.What you will be doingResponsibility for all aspects of cost control of assigned projects including forecasting and commitment tracking of man hours, procurement activities and vessel operationsAs the Project Controller, you willprovide project managers with advice and support in financially managing their projectsEnsure that SAP accurately reflects project costs and revenues to date, including any accruals or prepaymentsAssist the project managers in the preparation of monthly project and financial forecasts for assigned projectsAs the Project Controller, you willassist the project manager in the preparation of a monthly financial sensitivity analysis for their projectsAnalyse variances from as-bid financials by building a detailed monthly analysis of variances from prior forecastPrepare month end project reports and review with Project ManagerAs the Project Controller, you willattend project / client meetings and provide relevant cost and financial input as requiredPrepare and issue, or support the preparation and issue of all project invoices, including a focus on collection of paymentPrepare project cash flows in support of the Group's treasury requirements for cash flow forecasting.As the Project Controller, you willdevelop effective interfaces with all Project functions and contribute to improvement programs;build/enhance relationships with project managers to ensure communication and flow of information is effectivework with project managers to develop and improve reporting tools/systems and make recommendations to improve/enhance existing processes.What you will bring to the teamDegree qualified in a Finance or Business related subjectAs the Project Controller, you willhave previous experience in project accounting and cost control within a similar industryAn interest in (or already in the process of) obtaining a recognised accounting body qualificationGood awareness of relevant accounting standardsCommitted to self developmentAs the Project Controller, you will beconfident in the use of ExcelCommunicate effectively and articulately at all levelsGood analytical skills and effective forward planningAn understanding of SAPAble to demonstrate leadership skills by motivating/influencing others to achieve the required outcomes and are proactive in making suggestions for improvements to systems and procedures.First Recruitment Group are committed to finding the right candidates for our clients, and the right companies for our candidates to work for.
