Job DetailsProject Commercial DirectorCivil Engineering Main ContractorLondon, Hampshire & Hertfordshire An opportunity has been created for Project Commercial Director to join the senior Management team of a Tier 1 Civil Engineering Main Contractor.As an organisation they currently work on a number of projects spanning across Highways, Rail, Tunnelling and Civils across the UK.The overall purpose of the role is to lead the Commercial Division for the company covering projects across Cent London and the South.Your key responsibilities will include:Overall responsibility for the Commercial aspects of the projectMentoring, recruitment and development of the junior Commercial teamLiaison with clients to collaboratively support management and delivery of projectsImplement and monitor effective systems and processes to ensure high levels of control of cost and value managementDefine accurately and concisely the commercial parameters of opportunities, ensuing they are in line with the business plan.Manage, reduce and drive out unnecessary costs and inefficiencies in the regionMonitor and verify monthly site financial reportingEnsure robust subcontract change control procedures are in place and adhered toMonitor and ensure prompt resolution of final accounts, including settlement of Compensation Events (variations), claims and disputes Professional qualifications required:Minimum 10 years demonstratable experience working for a Civil Engineering Main ContractorAffiliated to a Professional Institution such as the RICS, ICES, ICE Educated to Degree level in a relevant Commercial, Construction or Project Management qualificationComprehensive experience operating successfully in the Civil Engineering Contracting sectorDemonstrate a successful track record of managing a large commercial team, responsible for major projects and or a portfolio of projects. On offer in return is basic salary of up to £95k plus full benefits package, including pension; car allowance; private healthcare; life assurance.To be considered for this opportunity please apply in confidence or contact Laura Stephenson on: 07495 896 044.
