Project Accountant

Your new company. A market leading construction and property group in Manchester.Your new role. An interim Project Accountant role, reporting to the Financial Controller and supervising one member of staff. You will be responsible for all aspects of day to day finance for a number of large projects. This will include the delivery of monthly management accounts, with variance reporting and investigation. You will assist with rolling budgets and forecasts and provide adhoc commercial analysis as required. You will oversee the billing process and other transactional work carried out by the Assistant Accountant. You will assist the Financial Controller with year end and statutory accounts and help deal with any audit queries.What you'll need to succeed. You will be a fully qualified accountant or Finalist, with strong hands on accounting skills, across both management and financial accounting. You will have excellent communication skills and be highly IT literate. You will be used to reporting to tight deadlines in a complex business. Available to start in the next two weeks, you will be happy to commit to an interim role for 6 months.What you'll get in return. A varied and rewarding role, for a high calibre business.
