As the Project Accountant you will gain excellent insight and exposure in partnering with some of the best!Job DescriptionOur client is looking for a Project Accountant who is competent in the following duties:Develop and communicate processes and routines essential for efficient control and reporting throughout the project life-cycle to all team members.Establish a project coding structure in alignment with the Group guidelines.Collaborate and liaise with the Project Planner to uphold the integrity of project structures.Manage the reconciliation of forecasted and actual expenditures and oversee the production of project accruals.Oversee the overall coordination of forecast changes based on inputs from the client, project management, and other project team members as applicable.Execute monthly closing adjustments in accounts, including determining and posting cost accruals and unbilled revenue. Calculate and post revenue adjustments when recognition is based on cost progress.Ensure comprehensive analysis and reporting of variances on a monthly basis.Compile and prepare cost and financial input for WIPProvide an accurate long-term cash flow forecast for the project on a monthly basis.Conduct analysis and evaluate probability, offering support to project management on any accounting issuesThe Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will have the following attributes:Ideally, possess a university-level business degree with a focus on Cost Management, Project Management, Finance,Experience or exposure within a costing or project focussed finance roleExperience as a Financial AnalysesExcellent knowledge of SystemsProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Analytic and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlinesWhat's on OfferThe successful Project Accountant will have access to the following benefits:
