At Signature Recruitment, we are looking for three hires for a full-time Programme Officer position to join our client, a prominent Higher Education establishment in London. We have three full-time positions with an immediate start available for a six-week contract with the possibility of an extension. The roles are hybrid with two days on campus and three days home-based, but some flexibility may be required. As a Programme Officer, you will mainly be focused on assessments due to the time of year in the academic cycle. However, you will also be the first point of contact for students and academic staff. This will include answering questions and signposting academics within the department. You will be a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships with a diverse range of students and faculty. This fast-paced role offers a dynamic daily experience, requiring adaptability and a willingness to jump in and tackle challenges. The ability to work independently is essential as you navigate the many moving parts within the team and your day-to-day tasks. A good level of customer service and communication skills are required to deal effectively and efficiently with face-to-face, telephone and email correspondence. You will also manage the virtual learning platform and assist the Senior Programme Officer as required. Programme Officer Key Responsibilities:
Managing assessments online, using different IT systems Confidently manage and address all student and academic inquiries, escalating complex queries as and when necessary Oversee assessment processes such as mitigating circumstance requests and processing marks Manage the virtual learning environment and ensure records are accurately maintained Work flexibly as part of a team, assisting others in times of high-volume activity Undertake ad-hoc administrative duties as required
Programme Officer Key Skills:
Excellent organisation, written and verbal communication skills. This includes the ability to draft documents and correspondence and work professionally with a range of stakeholders Proficient in IT and The Microsoft Office package specifically Excel as well as confident in using new systems The ability to multitask whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail with good data analytics and numeracy skills Proactive and adept at mastering new concepts with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
