Programme Office Manager - Higher Education
Location: LondonJob Type: Full-timeTemporary to permanent will be considered We are seeking a Programme Office Manager to take overall responsibility for the planning and operation of our academic programmes. This role involves engaging external staff to teach on courses, managing programme organisation from planning to assessments,
and ensuring a seamless experience for both faculty and students. Day-to-day of the role:
Assist the Dean with aspects of faculty planning, including finance and contract management.Support the Dean and Programme Directors with class scheduling and faculty coordination.Provide administrative support for academic staff and issue adjunct contracts, tracking payments with HR.Support the Registrar in timetabling modules and managing Blackboard Learn for module setup and student registration.Assist with enrolment and orientation planning, and monitor student attendance in conjunction with the Director of Student Experience.Organise external speakers and support student queries regarding their programmes.Manage student elective choices, collect module feedback, and organise programme committees.Organise examinations through the METTL test system and liaise with markers and external examiners during the marking process.Prepare assessment board information, including recorded grades and any mitigating circumstances.Identify and implement system improvements to enhance the programme’s efficiency and effectiveness. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Graduate degree or equivalent experience.Substantial experience working in a higher education environment.Excellent Microsoft Office skills and the ability to work with and adapt to IT systems at a high level.Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally and diplomatically with a diverse range of professionals and staff.Skilled at building strong relationships and networks with a wide range of stakeholders.Understanding of data and ability to work with technology.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, flexibly, and with minimal supervision.Problem-solving attitude.Desirable: Experience in planning and scheduling, and experience with Blackboard Learn.
