Our Role

Programme Delivery Manager

We require an experienced Programme Delivery Manager to oversee Bespoke and Larger Scheme activities who will be based across the Thames Valley region and reporting into the Framework Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a strategic programme of works closely and collaboratively with Thames Water
Liaise with senior stakeholders both internally and externally to update and convey the strategic programme including resource and cost levelling
Identify and track changes or potential changes to the agreed construction scope; ensuring that the relevant contract principles are applied and that the impacts are given immediate visibility to appropriate stakeholders
Monitor and update Project and Programme information
Be responsible for weekly submission of program to client
Have overall responsibility of as built information gathering and completion ready to point of submission
Have overall responsibility of pre-build information gathering for effective input into works programme
Develop key relationships with Thames Water operational and commercial personnel, supply chain partners and promote a team spirit environment
Working closely with the Commercial & Supply Chain team, monitor and improve performance of the strategic supply chain who will deliver the works. Work with all parties to ensure any performance improvement plans are developed and actions closed out
Ensure key project and programme risks are identified early, and mitigated where possible, with issues and blockers escalated immediately to the Framework Manager
Report project and services performance SHEQ, Time and Cost, monthly to allow portfolio performance reviews to be held between the Framework Leadership Team and client
Work closely with the Operation and Project Manager to ensure efficient use of resources, framework efficiencies and customer satisfaction
Identify blockers/issues and ensure that a solution is developed to resolve, and immediately escalate where out of your area of control or influence
Stakeholder management both internal and external
Chair of Risk review sessions to support SHE, commercial and CDM governance / assurance

Qualifications and Experience:
Strong Programme Management Skills
Skills, knowledge, and experience of CDM and Construction Management in the capacity of Principle Contractor
Strong Technical understanding Water Networks
Experience of working on NEC4 style contracts
Track record of delivery of project portfolios
Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills
Flexibility and adaptability to be able to respond rapidly to unexpected events, having the ability to develop creative solutions to problems
Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Planning Software including MS Project
HNC/HND or degree or equivalent experience, SMSTS and Association of Project Management APM preferrable but not essential
