PMO Programme Analyst
Salary & Benefits (4b):
£34,468 - £43,085 + annual incentive related bonus, attractive pension scheme (Up to 10% company contribution), life assurance cover of 4 times pensionable salary and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a wellness day. Our newly formed
Storm Overflow Alliance
will play a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. The Overflow Alliance is a collaborative enterprise formed between Yorkshire Water and our supply chain partners that will redefine how we deliver projects and programmes. This role will form part of a high performing, integrated team which will deliver the programme in a way that is industry leading and supports Yorkshire Waters strategy for a thriving Yorkshire: right for our customers and right for the environment.
You will require a good understanding of working in a PMO environment and be able to drive required governance, controls and assurance to support the delivery of projects to time, cost and quality targets and support the success of the Alliance.
Where you fit in:
As a
PMO Programme Analyst
you will;
Support the Alliance PMO Manager in establishing and enhancing the Alliance portfolio governance and assurance processes
Drive and monitor governance standards throughout the Alliance project lifecycle
Promote rigour, quality, and standardisation through the portfolio
Document, communicate and embed Alliance governance and assurance processes
Challenge non-compliance with required governance and processes and escalate appropriately
Provide support, advice, and guidance to all stakeholders from day-to-day Project Management activities through to Alliance Board requirements
Act as a link between the Alliance PMO and the Programme Delivery PMO to give confidence that the necessary governance, assurance, and control activities are being effectively applied
Develop and seek to continuously improve processes, standards, and tools
What skills & qualifications you will need:
Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
Advanced MS office user - Word, MS Project, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sharepoint user
Significant and proven experience of working within a PMO role, demonstrating an understanding of governance, standardisation, and assurance
Excellent knowledge and experience of project management methodologies, governance principles and PMO best practices.
Ability to challenge and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and building collaborative relationships
Strong influencing skills with ability to gain buy-in from challenging stakeholders
Experience of supporting and embedding change
Able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to small groups
You will also benefit from having:
Experience of working in a regulated environment.
Previous experience gained within the water or waste water sectors
