Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, well-organised and motivated Programme Administrator (Maternity cover) to join our small and friendly team to cover maternity leave. The Advanced Propulsion Centre's (APC), technology developer programme supports ambitious start-ups and growth companies to accelerate their route to market and net-zero enabling technology.
The APC currently employs c60 people, based from our offices on Warwick University campus. We operate hybrid working and employees work closely with their line manager to ensure the appropriate balance between collaborative in-person working and remote working. We will consider full and part-time applicants for this role.
A key member of the team, this role reports into the Head of SME Programmes and is responsible for supporting clients with grant claims and ensuring that the team's critical processes operate smoothly and effectively. This is a varied and interesting role, providing essential input into the grant claim processing, budgeting and forecasting, KPI tracking, corporate reporting and other client facing opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with the APC finance team and government departments in raising claims and ensuring our Technology Developers are paid promptly. In addition, the Programme Administrator will ensure that all of the claim and client forecast information is budgeted and forecasted appropriately and report monthly on this progress.
Alongside the technology developer programme, the SME team run a variety of other activities which the Programme Administrator will contribute to from time to time.
The successful candidate will already have credible experience working within a programme administration or similar role, with some previous exposure to processing claims/payments and also experience of working with key external stakeholders. A good working knowledge of Excel is essential and a basic understanding of accounting and finance systems (Sage Preferable) would be an advantage.
