About the Role
DP World are currently recruiting for a Program & Project Director on a 12–18-month FTC, reporting to VP Transformation – Europe. This role is a critical lynchpin in a complex environment across multiple functions, levels (Strategic, Tactical, Operational), Regions and Head Office, as well as multiple layers of Leadership. Following our recent acquisitions, it is vital to simplify, standardize, centralize and systemize our processes in order to have high performing back-office functions which can support the required scale and growth expected in DP World Europe in the next 4 years.
NOTE: This is a hybrid opportunity that can be based in London (UK) or Tilburg (NL).
How you will contribute
Coordinate delivery of overall program in DP World Europe for the respective workstreams;
On Time - project milestones and metrics.
On Budget and to the required standard.
Manage/address potential Risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies that would impact delivery. Responsible for the governance, monitoring, tracking, reporting and communication of the overall program. Build and manage critical stakeholder relationships which should be coordinated, managed and aligned on an ongoing basis.
Lead key engagements in region, between regions, head office on behalf of Europe. Mentor the project team to trouble shoot, problem solve and ultimately deliver the roadmap. Work closely with other functions across the organization, such as sales, marketing, operations and finance, to align program activities with overall business objectives.
Advise upon and manage resource planning to support growth. Support/implement continuous improvement on the governance/approach. Drive day-to-day execution of the Program, including coaching cross-functional teams, preparing and leading Steerco-, progress team meetings and driving proactive issue resolution, escalating where necessary.
Drive continuous improvement by reviewing existing processes, tools and methods, and identifying areas for improvement. Prepare and lead the steering committee meeting with the executive sponsors.
What you will bring
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in program management, with a proven track record of delivering complex programs within large organizations. Strong leadership skills, culturally intelligent with experience of managing teams across different geographies. In-depth knowledge of program management tools and methodologies (PMP or Prince2). Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment with an agile, pro-active and collaborative management style.
Strong communication skills - You are an exceptional listener and communicate clearly. You write exceptionally well, and you speak eloquently at any level.
Able to solve complex challenges and find creative, innovative solutions. You can identify gaps in logic and underlying causes of issues; You think on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. English language on a professional level in writing and speaking required, other languages beneficial.
Highly proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio
