JOB- Product Engineering ManagerLOCATION- Reading (hybrid/remote working is available)TERM- PermanentSALARY- £50,000 - £85,000 per annum (dependent on experience)My client is a specialist manufacturer within the Oil & Gas, Subsea and Renewable Energy industries. They are looking for a Product Engineering Manager to join their team in Reading on a permanent basis (hybrid/remote working is available).The Product Engineering Manager will ideally have the following attributes:BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar5 or more years' of industry experience working in similar Mechanical or Hydraulic Design roleProven ability to take products from conceptual design to being sold commerciallyExperienced setting up and implementing new ERP systemsExperienced managing teamsIdeally be experienced working in a small business and driving for growthProficiency with CAD software - ideally Inventor or similarOil & Gas, Subsea, Renewables, Hydraulics or similar industry experience would also be beneficialAbility to drive Engineering developmentGood mathematical and general engineering knowledgeExcellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials - sheet metal, castings, machining etc.The ability to understand system requirementsBe self-motivated with excellent attention to detailHave excellent communication skills both verbal and written The Product Engineering Manager role will involve:Managing a team working on the company's product rangeBeing involved with Engineering/Design as well as overseeing New Product Development and Introduction processesTaking things from concept to launchHelping to develop existing products on a technical levelLiaising with customers as required keeping them up to date with project progressProducing technical drawings as neededOffering technical supportSourcing and selecting components that are required If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
