Join Our Team as an Assembly Shift Leader


Are you ready to lead and inspire? We are seeking a dynamic Assembly Shift Leader to join our electronics manufacturing team based in North London. As the Assembly Shift Leader, you will oversee a team of 8 dedicated test technicians and assemblers, ensuring production excellence on our late shift from 2pm to 10pm.

Key Responsibilities for the Assembly Shift Leader:



  • Assembly Shift Leader: Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills while actively participating in production activities.

  • Ensure On-Time Delivery: Guarantee customer orders are produced promptly, meeting quality standards and staying within budgeted costs.

  • Meet KPIs: Drive performance by ensuring all manufacturing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.

  • Inventory Management: Control and monitor raw materials, work in progress, and stock levels using the SAGE system, facilitating smooth material flow to operators without disruptions.

  • Time and Attendance Management: Effectively manage time and attendance for production workers, ensuring fair application of work rules and consistent communication.

  • Training and Continuous Improvement: Oversee and assist in training as needed to enhance manufacturing effectiveness and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all manufacturing equipment is well-maintained and safe for use.

  • Security and Reporting: Monitor and report any concerns or issues affecting site security.

  • Collaboration and Support: Work alongside and support all departments involved in the launch of new products or processes.


Qualifications for the appointed Assembly Shift Leader:



  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in an electromechanical manufacturing environment, ideally within electronics.

  • Strong hands-on experience in production processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, preferably SAGE.

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Flexibility to work the late shift from 2pm to 10pm.
