Production Supervisor

Our client is an established manufacturing company and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Production Supervisor.The Role:The Production Supervisor will be will be responsible for supervising a small team of assembly and machine operatives in a busy finishing area.Adopting a "hands-on" approach the Production Supervisor will be responsible for the following; Ensure production runs are completed on time and to required specifications / qualityPlanning / scheduling / prioritising workTraining and supervision of a small team of assembly and machine operativesManage stock levels of materials and components as requiredAssist with setting up machines e.g. spot welders, grinders, presses and moreEnsure compliance with Health & Safety requirements Candidate:You will have previous experience in a metal assembly / finishing environment and you will have at least 3 years supervisory experience. Applicants will have good mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Experience in operating fly presses, bushing machines and hand tools is a required.Hours of work:Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm (39 hours)Benefits:Excellent basic salary 35K + OT Quarterly Performance Bonus33 days annual leavePension
