New Shift Production Manager Vacancy in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.Global Manufacturing Company located in Rotherham, Fast Paced Manufacture.About Our ClientLocated in Rotherham, South Yorkshire my client is part of a Global Manufacturing Company who supply products worldwide. The business is currently going through a large investment period with new machines coming into the business. Due to internal promotions, they are now looking to recruit a highly driven, Production Shift Manager to join the team.Job DescriptionAs the New Production Shift Manager you will have full responsibility for your team of employees which includes Teams Leaders and Shop Floor Staff. You will make sure all products on your shift are manufactured to customer standards before despatch, while maintaining high quality and safety of all employees.Main Responsibilitieslead the Production team to ensure they are engaged and high performing with a focus on problem solving and teamwork.To ensure that site requirements are documented, briefed out and trained out to all staff.To manage the availability of labour against the plan and to work with colleagues to optimise labour across the Manufacturing functions.To co-ordinate maintenance activities in conjunction with the Engineering team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance.To liaise and co-operate with colleagues in Technical and Quality teams to ensure that quality standards are maintained.To participate in problem solving initiatives to reverse poor trends & drive improvements.To gain a solid understanding of the Process to enable direct involvement in the 3 areas with regards to machine and labour planningTo be able to co-ordinate the Manufacturing operations with regards to ensuring the Production plan is carried out efficiently and cost effectively.To always be conscious of reducing all and any types of waste identified, including, waste of product, time, effort, energy, movement, money.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Production Shift Manager should be able to demonstrate the following key skills:Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environmentA great understanding all manufacturing processesPrevious experience of managing a team with great people management skillsExcellent communication and influencing skillsThe ability to set targets and manage performance to achieve these resultsStrong Problem-solving abilitySound analytical and administration skillsWhat's on OfferThis is an excellent Production opportunity to join a Global Manufacturing Company located in Rotherham and will come with strong progression opportunities into Production or Operations Management.
