To effectively manage a designated team in a culture of performance, open communication, employee involvement and continuous improvement.Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities· HEALTH & SAFETY - responsible for the welfare and safety of employees ensuring compliance with safety regulations and policies are adhered at all times.· QUALITY CONTROL – ensure the quality of product meets and exceeds customer expectations. Provide support to the QA department to ensure quality systems compliance.· CUSTOMER SERVICE – to take full responsibility for achievement of the production plan. Liaise with internal departments· PLANT PERFORMANCE – to measure, monitor & analyse line performance information including waste, output, Labour utilisation, efficiency, quality, hygiene, occupational health & safety.· TEAM CULTURE DEVELOPMENT –develop an open culture of pro-activity and team engagement.· TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT - to determine and ensure the achievement of the skills & training requirements of the team, to fulfil current and future business needs.· PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT – to manage the performance of all team members to achieve high standards of performance.· PROBLEM SOLVING – to develop problem-solving & trouble shooting skills to ensure that all team members can identify root causes & take fast & effective responses to problems.· INNOVATION / IMPROVEMENT – to promote continuous improvement and as part of the team proactively seek new & improved methods of working to increase efficiency in the overall production process.· EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES –ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and legislation i.e. employment matters.Measureso Completion of plano Labour utilisation to standard (absolute)o Yieldo Record & action/resolve non compliance to processeso Customer complaints, “Right-First-Time-Quality”o Hygiene and workplace organisation optimised to standard· Health and Safetyo Accidents recording / investigationso Close out actionso Near miss reportingo Raw Materials usage, Packaging materials usage, Quantumo Accurate recording and analysis of material yield.o Shift reporto Time management system (TMS)o Food safety incident reportso Shift paperwork completed in time and in full.o Skill matrices available and current ensuring maximum skill capabilityo Training planso Weekly team briefo Action teamsQualifications:· Degree, HNC, A levels and/ or recent & relevant experience.Skills and Experience:· Experience of continuous improvement· Computer Skills – Microsoft packages.
