Production Shift Manager - Huddersfield

We are looking to appoint a Production Shift Supervisor to work for one of the most respected manufacturing businesses in the Yorkshire region!The successful applicant will have a background in manufacturing and look to develop within their career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This is a great opportunity for the Production Shift Supervisor to work with a high performing production team. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension, and enhanced holiday allowance!Your Roles and Responsibilities:– Manage a team of 12-15 production operatives.– Happy to work a fixed shift pattern, 10pm-6am– Proven track record of getting the best out of teams.– Manage sickness, grievances, disciplinaries.– Strong understanding of lean manufacturing– Track record of implementing continuous improvement strategies– Plan daily production schedules– Ability to impose a safe working environment.– Attend handover meetings at the end of shift.– Ensure production quality is to the highest standard.– Liaise with the supply chain to understand stock requirements.Your Skills and Qualifications:– A background in Lean/CI and or Kaizen– Ability to lead a team.– Production manufacturing background– Excellent decision maker– Problem solver– High level communicatorIf you are looking to work for a business that cares about the development and growth of their staff, apply now!
