The company are leading the way in the design and manufacture of high power electrical resistors, and they are currently looking to expand within the automotive sector. They are seeking someone with Production / Manufacturing or Process improvement experience to take their manufacturing function to the next level. You will have varied responsibilities, from providing manufacturing and design engineering support, to leading projects which will increase efficiency, and minimise cost. You will look to improve upon existing manufacturing processes, and provide technical liaison and support throughout the product life cycle between production, design, quality and external partners.

The role:

• Lead projects to reduce cost, improve manufacturing time and improve quality
• Complete feasibility studies on processes to improve new products, and to improve existing manufacturing processes
• Monitor and evaluate product process throughout, highlight cost improvements
• Provide technical liaison and support throughout the product lifecycle between production, design, quality and external partners
• Support change management
• Generate documentation in accordance with company and client procedures / deliverables

The person:

• Experience as a Process Engineer / Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer
• Continuous improvement experience
