Production Planner

COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:

Our Client is well a high profile established and successful manufacturing business.This role represents an excellent career opportunity for an experienced production planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently planning all projects in conjunction with the contracts manager (including design, procurement, fabrication and installation).

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning all projects


• Reviewing and adjusting plans where necessary


• Communicating program slippages to contracts manager


• Visit site if required


• Working with design, fabrication and installation teams to ensure smooth running / progress with plan


• Adding the fabrication requirements of each project to the master resource plan to highlight staffing levels and timing


• Using master resource plan to identify / recognise any under / over production capacity and respond


• Providing Works Manager with long-term vision of production requirements


• Make production plans available to all relevant personnel


• Monitor key stages/critical paths


• Conducting regular production meetings


• Work with purchasing to ensure they shadow project plans


• Implementation of environmental management policy

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Have proven experience as a production planner


• Possess demonstrable knowledge of production planning and quality control principles


• Strong organisational skills. Able to multi task, prioritise and reprioritise depending on the workload and project needs


• Able to identify / recognise any under / over production capacity and respond


• Excellent communication abilities


• Strong problem-solving skills


• Good knowledge of MS packages: Excel, Word, outlook, PowerPoint

Details of Package:

From �26,000 to �35,000 PA (Depending on experience) + Benefits, inc. Discretionary Bonus8am to 4.30 Mon-Thurs and 8am to 3.30 on Fridays
