Newstaff Employment Services are working in Partnership with a global organisation of manufacturing plastic caps and closures for a packaging industry

Production Operative

Duties:

• Ensure blenders/silos are kept filled with required materials
• Correct issuing of raw and WIP (work in progress) materials, including wadding materials, necessary for production-to-production lines
• Checking and preparing bulk bins and pallets to support the packing of finished goods on the lines
• Make up cartons/boxed for the packing of finished goods
• Ensure finished goods are correctly packed and labelled
• Scanning and booking the finished packs into stock
• Using company specific scanning software to ensure accurate traceability of all stock
• Cleaning down machines and material handling equipment prior to change over
• Colour changes
• Dealing with minor machine and assembly equipment faults
• General cleanliness and tidiness of factory

Must:

• Be physically fit
• Able to read/write English and be numerically sound
• Turn up to work
• Want to work
• Able to work 12-hour shift
• Relevant experience of working in a factory
• FLT counterbalance licence

Shifts:

• Working 5 on 2 off
• WK1 work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• WK2 work Wednesday and Thursday
• 8am to 8pm 12-hour shift
• £14.00 per hour
