Nter Talent are delighted to be partnering with a leading “Ready-To-Eat” food group who are looking to add a High Care Manager to join their busy operation in East London.
The High Care department specialises in Ready-To-Eat prepared fruits and salad vegetables, juices, and smoothies to exacting and bespoke requirements. The department prepares and packages in bulk and in Food-to-go packaging, as well as for transfer to our internal Kitchen for cooking and mixing into salads.
The High Care Manager will be responsible for he day to day running of your area of responsibility meets the required Operational, Customer, Food Safety and Health and Safety standards. Provide leadership to your team and ensure your departments are planned, co-ordinated and managed to facilitate complete and timely manufacturing of all finished goods.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure daily orders are manufactured on time, in full to the standard required.
* Ensure team operates efficiently and effectively.
* Ensure the consistency and correct quality of finished products to maintain the business reputation within the market.
* Maintain low level customer complaints.
* Ensure the production team are trained and developed to provide flexibility of knowledge and skills.
* Ensure sufficient team members are trained for the high skilled jobs.
* Effectively induct new starters into the team and conduct appraisals with existing Team Members.
* Ensure that factory hygiene and health and safety standards are achieved and maintained in line with internal and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure production areas are always audit ready.
* Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and monitor performance against them.
* Ensure corrective actions are implemented where KPI’s are not met.
* Proactively identify opportunities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations and make recommendations for improvement.
* Work well with all departments to ensure labour is correctly distributed to reduce overtime and ensure all departments finish together.
* Manage team member issues and settle disputes in an effective and calm manner.
* Keep food waste to a minimum, reusing offcuts where possible.
* Deputise for the Factory Manager in their absence.
* Plan labour to minimise overtime and ensure all orders are completed in full.
* Co-ordinate the day-to-day running
Qualifications and Experience:
* NVQ/Degree in relevant subject
* Managing a team in a food production environment
* High care manufacturing experience
* A self-starter with a hands-on pragmatic approach
* Organisational skills and management of results
