Production Manager

OUR CLIENT AND THE ROLE
Our client is a manufacturer of ready meals and handmade buffet items for the foodservice sector. Today they produce over 300 different product lines at their factory using the finest ingredients sourced from all over the world.
With a focussed development process led by an experienced and strong development team, they carry out extensive market research and product benchmarking. In turn, this allows them to produce a comprehensive product range that offers both excellent quality and value for money and secures their ongoing position in the market.
As their commitment to growth and continued customer satisfaction is steadfast, they have identified a requirement to appoint a new Production Manager.
The Production Manager will work with SMT, reviewing the current processes and procedures in place across the factory operation. As a people driven man-manager, they will be able to get ‘under the skin’ of the factory floor, understand the areas that are working well and those which could benefit from potential enhancements.
MAIN DUTIES
To take responsibility of all the daily production shop floor operational issues to ensure the highest quality and customer service at the lowest cost.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
Must have proven management experience within a food manufacturing environment.
Computer literate.
Degree educated is preferable.
Must be responsible, committed and positive.
