As a Production Manager, you will be overseeing and coordinating the production process to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality garments.
Who Will I be Working With
You will be working alongside the whole company, mainly the Design and Development team, along with Technical, Buying/Merch, Finance, and Logistics. You will be reporting to the Chief Product Officer.
What are my Responsibilities as a Production Manager at Snag?
Responsible for ensuring the in-house PLM (Product Life Cycle) Management tool is accurate and up-to-date before bulk production starts.
Creating bulk production specification packs to hand over to the suppliers once POs have been raised.
Communicating with the technical team once POs are raised and tracking sample management to ensure deadlines are being met.
Developing and implementing production plans in collaboration with design, merchandising, and sourcing teams. Maintaining the company critical path, ensuring design and development are hitting required deadlines for timely production delivery.
Creating production schedules to meet deadlines and production targets.
Costing and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, and factories to secure cost-effective and high-quality production.
Ensuring suppliers have sign-off from internal teams (UK/TK office) ready to start production on time.
Maintaining strong relationships with vendors to ensure a smooth production flow.
Implementing and enforcing quality control procedures at different stages of production to meet brand standards.
Addressing and resolving any issues related to product quality.
Monitoring and controlling production costs to stay within budget constraints.
Optimising production processes for efficiency without compromising quality.
Fostering effective communication between different departments, including design, merchandising, and logistics.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address challenges and ensure a cohesive production process.
Staying informed about industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
Ensuring that production processes adhere to ethical and legal standards.
What Skills Do I Need for This Role?
Effective communication and collaboration, open-minded, and confident to think outside the box.
Ability to work well under pressure and get the job done.
Knowledge of compliance and regulations.
Problem-solving abilities, keeping the customers at the forefront of all decision-making. Ensuring decisions are commercial but also agile.
Fabric knowledge is key, understanding knit structures, weaves, print techniques, and more. You will be required to be very confident in this area to problem solve and ensure all products are made to the highest standards.
Ready to challenge norms; we don’t follow traditional fitting and grading.
Confidence with technical fitting, and an understanding of grading would be beneficial.
Ability to source suppliers and manufacturers who will perform to the required standards.
You should already be a Production Manager or looking for a step up from a Senior Coordinator role.
Where Will I Work?
We usually work from the office 3-4 days a week as we are always busy fitting products, ensuring they're the best they can be. There will be flexibility to work from home.
Our Office is based in East London – Mirror Works Stratford, approximately a 2-minute walk from Pudding Mill station.
Working days vary from 9am to 5:30pm
You will need the right to work in the UK for this role.
