A role for a strong operations professional - able to develop an operational team and work through a significant change programme. The key areas of focus are GMP, understanding and questioning production capability and capacity and building strong manufacturing plans.

The responsibilities of this role are:

  • Leadership of the operational areas in the business - production, stock control and despatch.
  • Open and clear communication and measurement of the KPIs in all areas.
  • Close management of the budget.
  • Full responsibility for SHE, driving a positive culture across operations.
  • To identify opportunities and drive improvements, encouraging others to develop a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ensure all areas work to the current high quality and technical standards.
  • Reporting to and supporting the Factory General Manager.

Novus are keen to source candidates with the following backgrounds for this role:

  • Manufacturing background in Food or Drink.
  • A detailed working knowledge of plant and process capabilities.
  • Able to manage process improvement journey.
  • Results focused, making effective decisions, interpreting data combined with key factory data.
  • Into the detail, aware of the status of all areas at all times.
  • A confident operator with open, clear and concise communication style.
  • A team focused manager who encourages and motivates.
  • Strong communicator able to liaise with all managers.
