Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturing business, part of a global business that is vastly expanding its products base and further streamlining its production output to be more efficient & reliable. They are looking for an experienced Production Manager from a busy, fast paced FMCG industry to join the senior leadership team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Managing the whole of a busy production operation
• Leading a team of Production Team Leaders across 4 different shifts and 110 production staff
• Planning and organising of production, including resource allocation, plant cleaning & hygiene scheduling, coordinating with warehousing & logistics activities
• Manage the production efficiency, outputs and site product quality
• Coordination with the maintenance team to understand production line availability & breakdown issues
• Monitor and reporting production performance, setting targets & KPi's
• Health, safety & quality management
• Managing of raw materials and stock control
• Coaching, training & mentoring team leaders in their individual development plans
• Maintain operating procedures, working methods, training manuals
• Lead continuous improvement activities, suggest lean manufacturing techniques and new processes

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Must be an experienced Production Manager who has worked in a busy, fast paced FMCG industry
• Will not consider candidates that haven't worked in FMCG / Food production
• Ideally educated to degree level
• This role would suit someone that has been a head of production, site production management level
• Excellent communication, presentation & senior leadership skills
• Previously have reported to board level
• Technical knowledge of engineering
• Experience of working in a TQM / continuous improvement organisation
• Health & Safety qualifications would be advantageous
• Must be an analytical & keen problem solver
• Project management experience
• SAP knowledge would be beneficial
• Coaching & team development plans experience
• Able to influence proactive change
