Your Responsibilities In This Production Engineer Job Include

• Providing technical oversight and support for a specific manufacturing cell.
• Offering comprehensive production engineering support within your designated manufacturing area.
• Assisting in the implementation of production efficiency measures and ensuring appropriate KPIs are established.
• Reporting KPI data to the Senior Management Team and implementing process improvements as needed.
• Training production operators on standard operating procedures.
• Utilizing problem-solving techniques like 8S to address production issues.
• Supporting maintenance schedules in your manufacturing area.
• Conducting workshops to promote flow manufacturing, value engineering, and overall Continuous Improvement methodologies. Collaborating with the Engineering team to facilitate New Product Implementation (NPI).
• Assisting in supplier evaluation and part approval processes.

To Excel In This Production Engineer Job, You Should

Hold an Engineering Degree or HND/HNC in a relevant field such as Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. While possessing experience in Engineering or manufacturing, with a desire to pursue a career in Production/Manufacturing Engineering. Actively demonstrating strong communication skills and adaptability to support manufacturing changes. Constantly taking ownership of your production area, striving to enhance process and production capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications And Experience Could Include

Familiarity with Mechanical assembly, jig/fixture design, Brazing technology, Welding techniques, and Machining equipment (e.g., Lathes, mills) would be advantageous.

Interest in expanding your knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing techniques, and Lean Manufacturing (Six-Sigma) principles.
