Production Engineer

We currently have a requirement for an experienced Production Engineer to join a well established market Leading precision engineering company in Bilston.

The company mainly specialise in cnc turning  and has been in operation for over 60 years.

Working on a 4 day working week (mon-thurs) the role will include but not be limited to the following;

General Duties 

• Off line programming of CNC machines using FeatureCam software.


• Planning the work load on the machines.


• Scheduling maintenance for machines to ensure minimal downtime


• Ordering tooling kept in line with work loads


• Supporting the sales and estimating process.


• Subcon arrangements                         


• Ensure all CNC machines have the programs loaded correctly


• Ensure the operators have all the required tools and information issued


• Liaise with the Design team and other departments


• Support the contract review process when new orders are placed.

Essential Experience

• Experience in Cnc programming with knowledge of Fanuc, Edgecam, Featurecam or equivalent.
  
  
  
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD or equivalent.
  
  
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft office tools especially Excel.
  
  
  • Good knowledge of tooling and tooling systems/cutting technologies.
