Product Support Engineer required by Global engineering company who are market leader in their field. The successful Product Support Engineer will be based in the Research and Development department and will provide technical support to customers for new and existing products.

Main Duties – Product Support Engineer

• Providing technical product support to customers for new and existing electronic products.
• Liaising with customers by telephone, email and videocall.
• Advising customers on setting up and configuration of products utilising in depth knowledge of electronic systems.
• Keeping customers informed about product updates and modifications, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal performance.
• Extending technical support for software applications, aiding customers in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Conducting thorough fault finding and failure analysis of returned electronic products, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Visiting customers to provide technical product support and investigate technical issues.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Product Support Engineer

• Educated to HND/HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification with significant industry experience.
• The ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and understand electronic circuits.
• Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Excellent crimping and soldering skills.
• Strong communication skills, able to convey technical information.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, adept at identifying and resolving technical challenges in a timely manner.
• Flexibility for UK and international travel to meet the needs of the business.
