Our people walk the talk too – driven by a passion to improve our communities and environment.Job OverviewReporting to the Operational Technology and Telemetry (OT&T) Portfolio Manager the Operational Technology Product Specialist will be expected to liaise with the Solution Architects, Service Delivery and Project Delivery counterparts, to ensure that new and existing applications are supported & projects are delivered to the highest standards for both the Telemetry and IIoT product sets.You will be able to identify areas where standards do not exist and produce new guidelines as required. You will carry out daily system checks and ensure all areas of the system are running correctly. This role will need you to support transition, BAU and new project implementations aligned with business objectives including IIoT. Implement new business application software, capturing end user requirements and configuring, testing and integrating as necessary.Implement new releases of existing business application software, capturing end user requirements and configuring, testing and integrating as necessary.Responsibilities will include:- Ensure equipment is in working order and escalate any issues- Ensure the maintenance of data quality and escalate any issues- Deliver data to the Data Analytics team for processing- Raising tickets for ground crew to attend any faulty hardware- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on equipment issues- Working on-call one week in 4 (remotely)- Providing 2nd line support (L2-4 as applicable) for business applications under role scopeAbout You- High attention to detail- Strong interest in electronics- Experience of working on a ticketing system - ServiceNow/ Jira- Experience of working on large applications, SCADA or industrial controls- Ideally enterprise telemetry industry experience- Some knowledge of basic programming; java/ c#- Some knowledge of databases such as Oracle, PostGres, SQL would be useful- An interest in coding- Excellent problem solving skills- Degree or equivalent qualification or experience in electronics/ technology field- Excellent communicator, both verbally and written- Experience of telemetry and IIoT platform setup, configuration, and troubleshooting- Experience on managing events and alarms in ThingWorx/IIoT platforms- Strong analytical and reporting skillsPackageThis role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week plus on-call one week in four (remotely).
