Product Safety / System Safety Engineer
BRIEF OVERVIEW

- Role: Product Safety / System Safety Engineer

- Salary: Up to �50k DOE (possibly more for the right person)

- Location: Oxfordshire

- Role type: Permanent

- Working Type: Hybrid working
Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for a couple of Product Safety or System Safety Engineers to work with an innovative engineering business, with the goal to bring electric and sustainable technology to life.
You'll have the opportunity work on a range of electronic products which are being used on a global basis, using your technical expertise to assist with the product delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for problem solvers who like to be an integral part of their projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Take part in safety related activities such as DFMEA, FMEA, FTA and HAZID

- Create safety requirements to ensure systems can achieve safety targets

- Create safety plans, goals and safety cases according to functional safety standards

- Handle safety reports

- Support technical and project reviews

- Support with new businesses development activities and pursuits
REQUIRED SKILLS

- Product safety, system safety or functional safety knowledge

- IEC61508 knowledge or any of the derivatives

- Experience with any of the following: ISO26262, ARP4754 or ARP4761, ISO61511, EN50126/8/9, ISO13849, ISO19014
DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL)

- Heavy machinery or off-highway vehicle knowledge

- Experience with battery developments

- Energy storage systems and/or controllers knowledge

- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline

- Safety-related training
