Working closely with the Head of Research and Head of Insights they will interpret our customer requirements and set, prioritise and deliver against our roadmap.ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy and RoadmapsResearch and Analysis of Market segments including profitability and competitive analysis to develop our target market strategy working in conjunction with the Innovation Commercial team, Product Marketing and Fintech Scotland/Fintech ClusterDevelopment and maintain the respective platform, product or data offer business proposal within the overall Innovation Business Plan that makes a compelling case for continued investmentWorking with the Chief Platform Officer and leadership team to prioritise & iterate thematic use case, current and future roadmaps for Smart Data Foundry platform, products and data offersWork in conjunction with the Innovation Commercial team to understand why we are winning and losing in the market and drive associated and necessary changes to our product and processes to create improvementWork in conjunction with the product marketing team to keep a current view on our competition and develop strategies and tactics to reduce the threat and their advantagesProduct DeliveryManage the product lifecycle for Smart Data Foundry platform, products and data offers from prototyping and testing new features/products and ideas to sunsetting legacy productsAuthoring & submission of the roadmap release requirements and user stories into the respective development and data science teams to ensure timely, on budget and on spec delivery through the agile development cycleUnderstand and manage cross roadmap dependencies when they occur to ensure coordinated releases and go to marketAttendance at product-related meetings incl. daily stand-ups, weekly meetings ensuring timely product input and decisions by Product ManagementEnsure maintenance, support and defects are included with appropriate priority in requirement backlogsStakeholder ManagementPresentation of platform, product and data offers to clients and external stakeholders to evangelise and support partnership and sales lifecycles. Working with the commercial engagement team and Smart Data Foundry partners as needed.External commercial stakeholder management, including suppliers and partnerships.Internal stakeholder management with Research and Innovation Commercial teams to ensure platform, product and data offer releases align with and support their respective business and go to market plansWork in partnership with Product Marketing and Marketing Communications to help define the go to market strategy by providing key product and market insightsSkills and ExperienceExperience and knowledge of data centric products and servicesExperience within public sector role desirableA solid understanding and/or hands-on experience in some of the relevant topics: Banking Data/Analytics, data visualisation, data science, privacy and ethics in data, B2B software, SAAS product development.Experience in product management or senior technical roles with product. management duties, preferably in enterprise or data management software.Experience successfully launching new products with a lean, impact-driven approach.Experience in agile product management: from user/field research and customer requirements gathering through to planning and review sessions with technical teams. Experience in issue triage and resolution are critical.Demonstration of an analytical approach to problem solving, breaking down complex challenges into manageable tasks, using impact-driven prioritisation methods and the ability to develop clearly written, data-informed business cases.Ability to deal with ambiguity and react quickly in an evolving and fast paced environment.Ability to work autonomously, under pressure and with conflicting and changing priorities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills who enjoys spending time in the market to understand market challenges and translating and conveying these to internal stakeholdersStrong team player with ability to develop positive working relationships at all levels within an organisation.Self-motivated and proactive.LocationThis role is based in our office in the Bayes Centre in Edinburgh therefore candidates must be within commutable distance or willing to relocate.Right to Work in the UKApplicants must have the existing and ongoing right to work in the U.K. without restrictions as sponsorship for visas is not provided.If invited for interview you will be required to evidence your right to work in the UK.BenefitsA collaborative, innovative and impactful place to work.
