Why this job matters
We have started a journey to make EE the flagship brand for our Consumer business by bringing the biggest broadband provider in the UK and the biggest mobile provider in the UK together to create New EE.
Our ambitions for New EE are significantly higher than creating the biggest connectivity provider in the country. We want to redefine the role of EE to become the most personal and customer focused brand in the UK, and help our customers get the most out of technology. We want to do more for our customers and drive significant growth in new categories such as consumer electronics, gaming, security, insurance, and financial services.
As a Product Manager you are responsible for leading one or more of our products or product workstreams required to underpin our Consumer P&L and customer experience ambitions.
The Product Manager is responsible for delivering the product strategy, to achieve world class product experiences, and for turning them into attractive and profitable products/propositions to win in the market, connecting more people and devices in the households we serve.
As part of the vision to do more for our customers and deliver more personal and household focused products and propositions, the Product Manager will collaborate very closely with other teams to deliver seamlessly on our vision for EE. It will be a key part of the role of the Product Manager to work very closely with the other Consumer product teams to drive higher share of households with both mobile and broadband from EE, and to work closely with the New Verticals Team to ensure growth in adjacent services.
The mindset and focus of the collaboration must always be to optimise the total experience for customers and households across all products - and deliver on the total Consumer P&L which is led by the Director of Convergence and GTM.
What you'll be doing
Support the development of the vision and strategy for the product(s), ensuring differentiation and monetisation of the services based on customer insights, current and future technological trends, and strong partnerships
Leads and executes a range of workstreams in the implementation of product management vision and strategy
Identifies new products or enhancements to existing products by understanding and analysing user needs and business challenges
Collaborates with analytics and delivery teams, and interfaces with cross functional stakeholders e.g. executives, sales, delivery functions, network teams, procurement, legal, and customer success teams to fulfill the product backlog using appropriate delivery methodologies
Creates and develops high quality work for product roadmaps, mockups, wireframes, specification writing and product schedules
Accountable for the creation, alignment and delivery of the product(s) roadmap
Plan and be accountable for product CAPEX and OPEX
Ensures that prototypes and product discovery techniques are used to ensure products and features progressed have the best chance of success
Creates business cases for product development and roadmaps
Contributes towards the continual assessment of the needs of customers, tech teams and stakeholders in defining and evolving the product strategy
Ensures accurate and formal product documentation such as feature sheets and user guides.
Ensures constant analysis of customer behavior, developing metrics and cultivating novel techniques to help our customers.
Contributes towards comprehensive product requirements to instrument tracking events, build data tools, pipelines, analytic dashboards and visualisations, for the purpose of understanding and improving performance
Accountable for ensuring that product performance is managed and opportunities to improve identified
Accountable for timely and considered decision making on Product related decisions including steering committees and project boards
Ensures that the product complies with the necessary regulations and laws by engaging the appropriate experts from across the business
Mentors other product management professionals, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource.
Champions, continuously develops, and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in product management and the market
Supports the programmes and change required to transform our business, simplifying our product portfolio, reducing the reliance on legacy capabilities and products, and enabling the Consumer strategy through faster, lower cost product development.
Responsible for product experience and customer journeys for their product(s) to drive customer satisfaction, and commercial outcomes
The skills and experience you will have under your belt

Considerable marketing and product experience
Result-driven and a track record of delivering customer and commercial outcomes
Good strategic and commercial product skills with some experience of developing product strategies
Good experience in product development and management
Good stakeholder management skills and experience in partner engagement
Experience from the telecoms industry or relevant product experience
