Product Engineer

We are recruiting for a Product Engineer on behalf of our client in the automotive industry, focusing on the development of battery packs for commercial vehicles. This hybrid role requires presence onsite two days per week for the initial contract for 9 months, with a strong likelihood of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical design within cross-functional teams.
• Oversee the design, validation, and release processes for electrical components.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manage component production and performance.
• Problem resolution and contribution to project objectives.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or related field with at least 5 years of experience.
• Background in electrical automotive systems, CAD tools (PTC CREO preferred), and design-to-production management.
• Knowledge in low/high voltage systems, battery pack design, and FPCB/laminated busbar (advantageous).
• Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in team settings.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in automotive systems or controls engineering.
• Automotive sector background preferred, but strong electrical engineering candidates from other sectors considered.
