About the Role
DP World have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join us and lead the way on Sustainability for our European Procurement function. This role will focus on all Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) aspects of DP World supply chain and will play a pivotal role in the delivery of DP World ESG program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evolving the design of DP World’s sustainable strategic sourcing strategy and embedding it within the function.
NOTE:
This is a hybrid opportunity that can be based in either our London or Rotterdam offices. The role covers Europe and therefore travel across Europe when required is essential.
How you will contribute
Develop, implement, and execute the function’s Sustainability & ESG strategy in alignment with DP World overall ESG strategy.
Drive the development of sustainability objectives for inclusion in scorecards as part of supplier selection and management using metrics and targets based on market best practices.
Develop and embed policies and processes which leverage DP World’s position and balance cost and sustainability benefits.
Input into DP World Annual Report covering ISSB standards, and input into the European regional reports and disclosures such as CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), TCFD and TNFD (Task Force on Climate-related/ Nature Financial Disclosures). Also input into various recognised certification from a supply chain perspective, such as EcoVadis and CDP.
Collaborate with and provide training to the Procurement team to drive a step change in the evaluation of suppliers and negotiation of contracts in line with DP World Sustainability & ESG strategy.
Work with the Procurement team and key stakeholders to improve sustainability & ESG in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
Proactively support DP World Buyers to attain lowest life cycle analysis services or goods to achieve DP World scope 3 road map.
Lead on the development, introduction and success of the supplier engagement SBTi (Science based target initiatives) goal.
What you will bring
Minimum of 5 years Procurement experience, ideally within a Global/European multinational company.
Master's degree in Economics/Business/Chemistry/Supply Chain (advantageous).
Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of supply chain sustainability & ESG, including reporting standards (e.g. Ecovadis and Sustainalytics).
Ability to research, benchmark and consult as required in sustainable matters.
Experience of mass supplier engagement to assess and track initiatives to reduce emissions across materials and supply chains.
Strong leadership skills, culturally intelligent with experience of managing teams across different geographies.
Knowledge of program management tools and methodologies ((PMP or Prince2) advantageous)).
Use of systems tools; BI, SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Office.
