This is a brilliant developmental opportunity that will be well suited to you if you are a highly motivated individual with a can-do attitude. Ideally, you will have experience working closely with or in a purchasing department, however this is not essential.

Role: Procurement Support Specialist

Salary: �28,000 per annum + benefits

Location: Hybrid working - presence in the Blaenau Gwent office when necessary (team meetings, projects etc)

Full time, permanent, flexi time

Sitting within the Corporate Services department, this is an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated and passionate professionals, to deliver an effective procurement service. Reporting into the Procurement Manager, you will provide support to the team and wider business to ensure compliance when procuring goods and services, in line with the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and post Notices in compliance with legal requirements
  • Assist in distributing tender invitations and documentation via e-procurement systems
  • Support the tender evaluation process and maintain detailed documentation
  • Issue contractual paperwork
  • Manage comprehensive procurement records, including supplier details and contracts
  • Carry out appropriate checks for current and new suppliers and complete checks on supplier changes
  • Provide colleagues with guidance on available procurement methods

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience working within a procurement/purchasing/compliance role or department is desirable
  • Ability to analyse data and statistics
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to develop good working relationships
  • Communicate confidently with key stakeholders
  • Willingness to work towards gaining Level 4 CIPS qualification
