Procurement Specialist

At STEM Recruitment Solutions we are working with our client who have an exciting role available for a Procurement Specialist based in Cumbernauld.
Duties:

• Supporting the implementation of global procurement and category management plans locally.


• Planning and placing orders for raw materials and indirect purchases.


• Leading and evaluating competitive tenders for goods and services, negotiating price and commercial conditions.


• Working with all departments to ensure purchase orders placed are done so in an accurate and timely manner.

Experience:

• End to end procurement experience.


• Leading on supplier engagement for goods and services.


• Direct and indirect procurement including supplier negotiation.


• Comfortable working to tight and competing deadlines and demonstrate confidence in dealing with all internal and external suppliers.�

The ideal candidate will have a CIPS qualification or currently be working towards this professional qualification.� The successful person will have experience within a buyer role supporting engineering and facilites management.� This individual should have strong communication skills, strong negotiation skills and have ERP skills.
