Procurement Specialist

Procurement Specialist Salary: £40,000 - £52,000 per annum | Location: London An exciting time for a Procurement specialist to join a well established company based in the City of London, based near Fenchurch Street train station, who operate in the Insurance industry. The duration of the contract is 12 months which is to cover someone who is going on maternity leave. The role sits in the Finance department will be working alongside the Procurement Manager.Key responsibilities: Finding vendors for their day-to-day supplies to keep operations runningEnsuring that the right source of supply is obtained at the best priceNegotiating commercial terms prior to the business signing in conjunction with the legal team Handling all vendor queries regarding new businessDeveloping new purchasing processes to ensure TCO is maxmised through use of RFQs and tendersCreating Purchase Order and being responsible for expediting orders to vendors Tracking ordersUndertaking vendor improvement plansAssisting with the transformation and growth of the global procurement source to pay capabiliities Managing the delivery of the Procurement process, policy and procedures Creating monthly reports on vendors / contract monitoring Experience & Skills required:Proven experience working as a procurement specialist Experience of using SAPProactive, driven and enthusiasticThe ability to challenge/question inaccuracies The ability to work autonomously Excellent communication and negotiation skills Our client is committed to diversity in all of its forms and operates an inclusive recruitment process.Reference: WD/HQ00004943
