Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a procurement specialist to join our Company in Worthing, West Sussex, to improve the effectiveness of sourcing as a core strategic discipline and a major driver of value creation within PSC Global’s business.The main purpose of the role will be to develop and implement robust processes around sourcing activities focussing on:Identifying and evaluating new potential sources of supply, focussing on the need for cost reductionTaking a lead or supporting role in commercial negotiations (as required)Monitoring the achievement of savings against agreed cost reduction targetsMonitoring and managing all aspects of vendor performanceAssisting with tactical procurement activitySupporting the sales team in delivering value to our customersAssisting our external sales team in managing and creating quotations for customers The main duties of the role will be to:Identify new potential sources of supply and conduct all necessary technical appraisals and evaluationsWork with key suppliers to align stock availability to customer demand whilst reducing stock levels within the business using innovative supply chain methodologies.Working with the sales team to identify sources of supply for customer specified items.Ensure product is delivered and stored in such a manner that is safe and supplied in appropriate packaging to support ease of onward processing or internal processing.Place orders for replenishment of product to meet customer orders and buffer stocking requirementsDeliver annual supplier reviews with all ‘A’ class suppliersEnsure the suppler base operates full compliance with current policies both legal and company related to the supply of productThe knowledge, skills and experience we will be looking for are:Practical experience within the MRO sector / sealing industryWorking knowledge of material requirement planning (MRP)Stock and inventory turns management within the supply chainExcellent interpersonal skillsExperience in project managementIT literateSalary package: £37,500 pa plus 7,5% performance bonus, plus a comprehensive suite of attractive benefits including pension.If you think you have these skills and would like to work for a great Company with an exciting future, please apply.
